10 Ways To Make It GreatPhil Gerbyshak, BookSurge Publishing, US, 2006Reviewed by admin Mon 24 Nov 08 Bob's Rating: This is a great little book (pun intended). It’s well set out, to the point and gets a real message across – how to better oneself, now!I liked the fact that the author practices what he preaches. Each of the 10 chapters has one key idea with an action step at the end of the chapter for immediate implementation. If you’ve read a self-development book before, you may have already heard of many of these ideas. However, Gerbyshak describes them in a way that makes it easy to relate to, and most importantly, to implement. His positive attitude and sense of humour shine throughout. This is an ideal book for a procrastinator such as myself, who has a problem getting started – the book is easy to read in one sitting. Once you’re inspired to take some action, you can go back and implement the “Action Steps” (there are only 22 of these in total and they all build on one another). This book would be particularly appropriate for people who do not normally read books. If you know of someone who could use some help with their personal development, confidence or merely time management, this would be a great gift. Highly recommended. |
