Workshops from the National Learning Institute . . .

We are constantly designing and delivering workshops for corporate clients such as Ausgrid, Marsh Insurance and Rocla.  Our principals and colleagues also facilitate public workshops for organisations such as the Australian Institute of Management.

Below are some of the upcoming events provided by the National Learning Institute

How to help your people stay motivated

Whilst the evidence on what motivates people has been around for at least the last 50 years, many organisations and managers fail to understand and implement some of the basic factors to keep people motivated at work.

Join author Bob Selden for this entertaining and enlightening session where he will cover:

  • The role of rewards and recognition – do they work? If so, when and how?
  • How can we build achievement, recognition, responsibility, interesting work, growth and advancement into the day-to-day workplace? And what do we do with the satisfiers – money, supervision, working conditions?
  • How positive is your language? What impact does it have on others?
  • How can you make giving and receiving feedback a natural and positive experience for both manager and employee?

This Special Interest Network session is designed for managers and leaders on the lookout for tips and techniques to improve the way they manage their people.

After the session attendees will have a much better understanding of how to distinguish between what motivates people and what satisfies people, and how to establish a culture of recognition within your team.
